Global Learning:
5a. Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning. A PLN is a good example of this because it can be a creative way for teachers to learn about different lesson and teaching practices. I joined a few different PLNs while at Northern Michigan University. I have used these as references in my student teaching practices. These PLN's consist of different ways of integrating practices used by teachers to improve their classrooms. Teachers could ask questions and post certain items. Teachers can collaborate back and forth with each other for ideas. One great aspect of a PLN is that you can collaborate with educators from around the world and pick their minds about strategies and teaching practices they are using with their students. |

4b. Address the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources.
This is a good example of this standard because while doing this Kahoot with my students I was able to meet the diverse needs of all my students. The students were able to access the tool with ease. They found it to be a fun experience answering questions and finding out the results of how the class answered. The students were asked to have appropriate player names during the session. Also, I stressed to the students that when using digital tools they should always be aware of what they are searching and what they access online. The students will need to use digital tools in appropriate ways.
